If you are looking to capture a better photo of Isengard – heed the advice from New Zealand Travel Insider :
“Because the sun is positioned more north than south in winter, you are almost always guaranteed to be looking into the sun at this Lord of the Rings scenery lookout.”
That was what we were practically doing the entire trip to the Dart River bridge. Also, watch out for the short day time in winter. It was only 2 or 3 in the afternoon when I took this shot, but you can see, the sun is almost ready to bid adieu.
Guess this means I will see you again in another season, New Zealand 😉
